    Ministry of Public Works

Infrastructure Geospatial Data & Information Systems

Pusdatin — Center for Data & Information Technology

Builds geospatial systems for national infrastructure: a nationwide WebGIS for office attendance, a public dam-safety WebGIS, satellite-based drought assessment and infrastructure data integration for the Ministry's geoportal.

    Contributions — 08
    • WebGIS attendance monitoringDeveloped a geospatial attendance dashboard for Ministry offices nationwide on React/TypeScript, FastAPI and PostgreSQL/PostGIS, integrated with the Ministry's external attendance API. Live KPIs separate in-radius, out-of-radius and unverified check-ins, alongside per-office recaps, unit-level distribution and hourly check-in/check-out charts.
    • Geofence & national monitoringImplemented 1,000 m office geofence analysis with distance bands, a national monitoring view and tracking of official duty, leave and dispensation status, filterable by work unit.
    • Historical analytics moduleBuilt daily-to-six-month temporal aggregation, employee-level and office-level monitoring, attendance trend visualization and 1 km spatial clustering of check-in locations.
    • Privacy by designDeployed a public demo on a strictly restricted API, so no employee personal data is exposed outside the Ministry network.
    • Sermo Dam Emergency Response Plan (RTD) WebGISContributed to technical planning and geospatial database design for a public dam-safety WebGIS built with Next.js, covering flood scenarios such as the Probable Maximum Flood (PMF), four emergency status levels (Normal, Waspada, Siaga, Awas), evacuation zones, evacuation routes, assembly points and shelters.
    • Multisensor drought assessmentAssessed agricultural drought in Bekasi by combining Sentinel-1 SAR backscatter with Sentinel-2 vegetation indices and classifying the result with Random Forest in Google Earth Engine.
    • Imagery processingProcessed and mosaicked Sentinel and Landsat imagery for North Sumatra and the Riau Islands in ERDAS IMAGINE.
    • Data integration & webPrepared and integrated infrastructure datasets, including Papua irrigation networks and InaRISK disaster-risk layers, for geoportal and decision-support applications; built responsive React interfaces and institutional landing pages.

    Spatial Data Lab

    Research Assistant · Remote

Harvard Center for Geographic Analysis — NSF Spatiotemporal Innovation Center

Applied GeoAI research on topology-aware micro-poverty mapping in Central Jakarta: a road-network graph, a residual GCN benchmarked against classical models, and an evaluation designed to expose spatial leakage rather than hide it.

    Contributions — 09
    • Research scopeConducted applied GeoAI research on topology-aware micro-poverty mapping in Central Jakarta under Prof. Abolghasem Sadeghi-Niaraki (Fellow, Spatial Data Lab, Harvard CGA).
    • Graph & featuresBuilt a road graph of 20,546 street nodes and 28,805 edges across 44 wards with 19 features: network centrality (closeness, betweenness, PageRank, degree), street morphology, proximity to waterways, railways and amenities, building density and 8 Laplacian spectral encodings.
    • Target constructionDerived the target by label propagation from 625 geocoded PKH beneficiary points, at a 96.7% geocoding yield.
    • ModellingBenchmarked a 2-layer residual GCN against Ridge, Random Forest, XGBoost and MLP using identical features and folds.
    • Leakage auditIdentified and closed three leakage pathways (graph adjacency, label bleed, selection leakage) by drawing a ward-level 26/9/9 split before any scaling or propagation, with 5-fold ward-grouped cross-validation.
    • Key findingMeasured a 1.43-point R² gap between non-spatial evaluation (out-of-bag 0.93) and spatial holdout (−0.50).
    • Failure diagnosisTraced the gap through residual Moran's I (≈ 0.99), LISA, MAUP aggregation, SHAP and an adjacency ablation (R² −0.60 with adjacency vs −3.09 without).
    • Policy translationFramed outputs as a field-verification screening layer for PKH/DTSEN rather than an eligibility tool; the GCN flagged 83.0% of beneficiaries within 50 m versus a 79.9% class-matched baseline.
    • DisseminationPresented at the 2026 Symposium on Spatiotemporal Data Science (STDS); a journal article with an international collaborator is in development.

Automated spatial QA/QC and regulatory compliance analysis for nationwide mining-concession data, and prototyped retrieval over mining regulations to speed up data verification.

    Contributions — 04
    • Automation toolboxesEngineered 4 Python/ArcPy toolboxes for nationwide mining-concession data: OverlapContextAnalyzer (overlap detection with context), Axis-Align Fix & Report (axis-order correction), Vertex-to-Report (vertex-level reporting) and Coordinate2SHP (coordinate tables to shapefiles).
    • Data qualityInvestigated recurring geometry and topology errors in concession boundaries, diagnosed root causes and automated the corrections, reducing manual troubleshooting and improving reliability for government reporting.
    • Regulatory complianceBuilt auditable per-block compliance matrices covering zone intersections, buffers and thematic layers, with structured technical reports that make field-mapping decisions traceable.
    • RAG prototypePrototyped a regulation-retrieval system with OCR ingestion of regulations, hybrid dense and BM25 retrieval, and PostgreSQL/pgvector to speed up evidence-based data verification.
